RAE vs OED

Bueno, ahora nos toca hablar de diccionarios.  El título de este post hace mención a dos de los diccionarios más populares, influyentes e importantes del mundo. El de la Real Academia de la Lengua es una herramienta de ésta para intentar fijar el modo de hablar, de escribir y de comunicarnos en español.
El Oxford English Dictionary, en cuyo origen no esta la famosa universidad, sino la casa editorial, viene a ocupar el lugar de la Academia en el ámbito del inglés ya que no hay una academia de la lengua inglesa como tal.

Well, it's time to talk about dictionaries. The title of this post mentions two of the most popular, influential and important dictionaries in the world. The Real Academia de la Lengua manages it as a tool to try to analyze how to speak, write and communicate in Spanish.
The Oxford English Dictionary, the origin of which is not in the famous university, but the publisher, comes to occupy the place of the Academia in the field of English as there isn't an academy of the English language as such.

3) Cambridge Dictionaries - the great thing about this site is that is has a blog that looks at new words every week which you don't usually come across in standard dictionaries.

3) Diccionarios Cambridge - lo bueno de este sitio es que se tiene un blog en el que se ven palabras nuevas cada semana que no se suelen encontrar en los diccionarios normales.

4) MacMillan Dictionary - this dictionary is unique in having sounds. Do you ever have trouble imagining what words like moan, groan, whine etc. really mean? Well with this you don't have to - you can hear for yourself! Just click the little musical note button!

4) MacMillan - este diccionario es el único que tiene sonidos. ¿Alguna vez os ha costado imaginar lo que las palabras gemir, , quejarse, etc realmente quieren decir? ¿Cómo suenan? Bien con éste no te pasará: puedes escucharlo tú mismo! Haz clic en el botoncito nota musical!

5) Collins Dictionary - finally, and regarding borrowed words, Collins have collected together Anglo-Saxon, Arabic, French Latin and Hindi ones in one place.
