El Inglés y el Fútbol

Dos grandes pasiones como esas se merecían ya algún comentario en este blog. Y más ahora que nuestra selección está haciendo historia a cada partido.

Mucha gente decide estudiar inglés con un objetivo profesional muy acotado y definido. A eso se le llama Inglés con Fines Específicos o bien Inglés para las Profesiones. El caso es que son bien conocidos los casos del Inglés de Negocios, del Turismo, Académico, etc.

Lo que yo propongo ahora es el Inglés para el Fútbol Es decir, unir dos de las pasiones que nos unen en este país y de lo que andamos sobrados: ¡¡¡en España todo el mundo sabe de fútbol y todo el mundo habla Inglés!!! (Sólo hace falta recordar a Jesús Gil)

Bueno, dejando la coña aparte, lo que es cierto es que en la red te encuentras de todo y buscando, buscando, he encontrado una serie de páginas con recursos para repasar vocabulario, hacer ejercicios, leer detalles interesantes, etc. todo acerca del fútbol. Incluso un par para viajar a aprender inglés mientras se juega al fútbol.

Viajar a aprender inglés y jugar al fútbol

Football and English

It was about time that these two great passions had some post in this blog. And even more so now our national team are making history match alter match. (The English also wrote some lines in history recently, but with a rather italian accent).

Many of us decide to study English with a specifoc purpose. That is English for Specific Purposes or English for Professionals. Well known examples are Business English, Academic English, English for Tourism, etc.

What I suggest know is English for Football! That is, joining two of the most widely shared passions in this country, and rehaznos for our pride: In Spain everybody can comment about football and speak English!

Well, jokes aside, the truth is that you can find anything in the web and what I found is a Lumber of webpages to revise vocabulary and grammar, exercises, interesting details, all of them connected to football. There are even a couple of webs to travel to play football and learn English.
